Podcast about migrant workers from Central, Southern and Eastern Europe in care and agriculture

In this special episode of the German X3 Podcast, our team member Dr. Ewa Palenga-Möllenbeck talks with film director Apolena Rychlíková and Justyna Obalcewicz, who works as a consultant for the German Trade Union Confederation, about the reality of migrant workers from Central, Southern and Eastern Europe in sectors such as care or agriculture, which often means social isolation, insecurity and neo-colonial exploitation. The podcast is in German and will be available on all regular podcast platforms from Thursday 12 September, 2024.

The podcast has been recorded during the panel “OST-TALK Work” as part of the #OSTOPIA Festival at the National Theatre in Mannheim, Germany, in cooperation with the Heinrich Böll Foundation Baden-Württemberg. It was moderated by Julia Boxler and curated by Dominika Široká, Leona Dölger and Mascha Luttmann. You can find the podcast here.
